Description

We are in the insurance industry, specifically focused on casualty insurance, and are located in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. We are seeking a Sr. Internal Auditor who will be responsible for performing due diligence and integration on acquisitions. This role is instrumental in our commitment to doubling down on our M& A activity and increasing the number of transactions we can close... in a year.

Responsibilities
• Perform due diligence on potential acquisitions, ensuring all financial and operational aspects are thoroughly reviewed
• Facilitate the integration of new acquisitions into our existing operations
• Collaborate with various internal teams to ensure a smooth transition during the acquisition process
• Prepare and present audit reports, detailing the findings from the due diligence process
• Ensure all audit findings are addressed and resolved in a timely manner
• Maintain an audit program to track the progress of each acquisition
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines during the acquisition process
• Continuously improve auditing processes and practices for increased efficiency and effectiveness
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment during the acquisition process
• Provide expert advice and recommendations based on audit findings to guide decision-making processes.

Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing, specifically within the insurance-casualty industry.
• Proficiency in developing and executing audit programs.
• Demonstrated experience in documenting and communicating audit findings effectively.
• Proven experience in preparing detailed audit reports.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements within the insurance-casualty sector.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel as needed to conduct audits at various company locations.
• Ethical conduct and integrity in all business dealings.
• Strong ability to manage time and resources efficiently.
• Highly analytical and able to draw insights from complex data sets.
