The Media Planner, Search is a vital part of the media department. This person will not only help execute paid search marketing strategies but will also create and monitor the day-to-day performance of these campaigns. The candidate will work with the larger team to execute paid media tactics, optimize campaigns, manage budgets, analyze data, extrapolate insights, and make recommendations based... on results coming from media campaigns. Paid search media work is fast-paced and sometimes ad hoc. The ability to work as part of a team in such an environment is critical, as is a sense of innate curiosity, attention to detail and a self-motivated work ethic.


Campaign Planning
• Work alongside the paid search team to maximize account and campaign performance
• Budget forecasting to determine investment levels needed to reach campaign goals
• Perform research to understand how paid search tactics function in the overall media landscape as they relate to media plans

Campaign Set Up
• Proper site tagging implementation in collaboration with the ad ops and analytics teams
• Traffic, upload, and QA ads, targeting parameters and landing URLs
• Set up search campaigns, primarily focused on conversion based goals

Campaign Stewardship
• Manage day-to-day performance of all live campaigns
• Collaborates with media and Business Intelligence team to achieve client goals and metrics
• Budget & invoice management
• Monitor campaigns to ensure proper pacing, avoid under- or over-spend, traffic abnormalities, and additional opportunities
• Keyword research on planned and currently running campaigns
• Developing ad copy for review by the client for approval
• Campaign management, including adjusting bidding rules, CPA goals and CPC caps

Reporting & Measurement
• Perform account diagnostic checks
• Run reports as scheduled, and also ad hoc Analyzes performance data and trends to identify opportunities for expanding or optimizing campaigns
• Assist team in pulling performance on specified reporting cadence
• Maintain the daily optimization log that is already in place based off of recommendations from the BI and media team

Client Relationship Management
• Organize client direction
• Maintain status sheets and keep project timelines updated

• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on, executional paid search marketing experience
• Search In-platform experience on Google/Microsoft
• Additional in-platform experience in Search Ads 360 is a plus
• Agency experience preferred
• Excellent time management skills and ability to follow through. Possess a strong and proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with flexibility and communicate priorities to Supervisor
• Demonstrated ability to manage small –to – large budgets
• Extremely detail-oriented, with a proven system of double checks
• Expert in Excel, strong in PowerPoint and other Office products, as well as Keynote
• Experience with technical issues, such as campaign tagging, Q/A, and troubleshooting
• Completed platform certificates (Google, Microsoft and SA360) is a plus
• Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe/Omniture, and/or other web analytic solution is a plus
• Experience with integrated campaigns is a plus
• Previous experience communicating with clients a plus


The range for this role is $67-70K. Pay is dependent upon many factors ranging from experience, training, transferable skills, and business needs. The pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future
