Position: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Bristol

Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
• Individual Support: Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to students, helping them to overcome academic, social, and emotional challenges.
• Positive Relationships: Build strong, supportive relationships with students, fostering trust and encouraging positive attitudes towards learning.
• Behavioural Guidance: Implement strategies to manage and improve student behaviour, promoting a positive and respectful school culture.
• Academic Assistance: Support students with... their coursework, homework, and study skills, helping them to achieve their academic goals.
• Goal Setting: Assist students in setting and working towards personal and educational goals, providing regular feedback and encouragement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to identify students in need of support and to develop effective intervention plans.
• Progress Monitoring: Track and report on student progress, adjusting mentoring strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
• Resource Development: Develop and utilise a range of mentoring resources and activities tailored to meet the needs of individual students.

• Educational Background: A background in education, psychology, social work, or a related field is advantageous.
• Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills to manage mentoring activities and student progress effectively.
