Job Title: SEN Class Teacher

Location: Pilning, Bristol


Randstad is seeking an inspirational and engaging SEN Class Teacher for our dynamic and inspiring provision in Pilning. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to children and young people aged 7-19 with a primary or secondary diagnosis of Autism and related social and communication needs.

Salary: £30,000.00 - £44,870.00 (M1 - UPS2 subject to experience)

Hours: 40 hours per week (full-time)

Start Date: September 2024

Main Purpose Of The Role

The SEN Class Teacher will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students with autism and complex needs such as ADHD, OCD, and PDA, who may present with challenging behaviours associated with their autism. Some pupils may have multiple learning difficulties.

Key Duties
• Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, considering the educational, physical, and social needs of the students within a learning environment.
•... Work collaboratively with other members of staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Maintain and use short-, medium-, and long-term plans in delivering the curriculum.
• Set, monitor, and review personalised targets to optimise learning for every student.
• Monitor, assess, review, and report on the progress and work of students to parents, team members, senior staff, examination, and funding bodies through reports and identified meetings as directed and as required through school policies and procedures.
• Develop lesson plans, analysing and self-reflecting on the outcomes.


• PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status, or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
• Postgraduate diploma in Autism.
• Experience of working in a special school environment and in particular with pupils with autism.

• Competitive salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum
