The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Support human health risk assessments, ecological risk assessments and contaminated site investigations

+ Support execution of projects involving soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and indoor air investigation, compliance, and remediation activities in accordance with State programs, Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) programs

+ Provide office support for data management and prepare portions of project documents, including risk assessment tables, conceptual site models, and text;

+ Conduct literature searches and reviews on toxicological, biological, or other risk assessment subject matter

+ Assist Project Managers in efficient execution of project scope of work on time and within budget

+ Ability to work independently as well as in group with diverse staff in office and non-office setting; and

+ Must demonstrate professional demeanor in written and verbal communications with clients, regulatory officials, and fellow employees

+ Candidate must also be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors. Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, detail-oriented work style, willingness to learn, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.

+ Candidates may be asked to submit a drug test, medical surveillance screening, and/or MVR (motor vehicle record) screening at the time of hire
• *Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Toxicology, Public Health, or Environmental Science (with a biology or chemistry concentration), or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

+ Candidate must be proficient with basic computer programs; MS Word and MS Excel;

+ Valid U.S Driver's license

+ Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required
• *Preferred Qualifications**

+ Ability to review and interpret toxicity information, regulatory guidance documents, and associated regulations.

+ Understand and assist with site conceptual models;

+ Collect and evaluate environmental data in field and office settings;

+ Conduct on-line database searches, i.e., threatened and endangered species, toxicity and bioaccumulation data, etc.

+ Possesses technical report writing skills;

+ Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office or other software such as EQUIS or SQL for data management activities. Specific experience and efficiency in complex MS Excel spreadsheets and functions to compile, organize, and evaluate field and laboratory data for incorporation into technical reports. Recognize and identify discrepancies in results obtained in such assignments and follow-up with senior personnel to resolve these situations;

+ Selected candidate will be required to complete 40 hour HAZWOPER training or annual refresher class, if needed; and

+ Selected Candidate will also receive First Aid/CPR training and AECOM specific training.
