Salary: $73,842 to $89,661 plus superannuation

Corporate Services, including payroll, will be provided by the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions while a process for the formal transfer of staff in impacted areas is implemented.

Agriculture Victoria supports scientific research and development in crop and animal species important to the agricultural sector in the State of Victoria, Australia. A 5-year, $30m partnership between Agriculture Victoria and Grains Research and Development Corporation, the Australian Grains Genebank Strategic Partnership, aims to transform the AGG into a bio-digital resource centre through the development and application of genomic technologies and web-based databases and interfaces. The role of this Web Developer is to provide technical support towards the development of novel software tools, databases and processes to realise the aims of the partnership. The position is part a multi-disciplinary team that generates and integrates phenotypic and genotypic data.

Primary duties of the position include administering servers, installing and migrating databases and software, and designing and implementing software code with supervision and support from senior members of the team. The role requires working within a team environment, and requires excellent analytical and organisational skills, along with strong oral and written communication skills.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or an equivalent science

This is a fixed term position available for a period of one year. The work location for this position is AgriBio Bundoora with hybrid work arrangements available.
