The business also manufactures and supplies high quality anhydrous lanolin to pharmaceutical, personal care, and industrial markets.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, the EU Account Manager aims to support the company’s Sales & Marketing efforts for existing and new OEM & Tier I customers within Europe, specifically focused on customers in Germany.

Responsibilities
• Carefully learn and understand business’s virgin, PIR and PCR material offerings and understand the company’s material strengths versus competitor grades through on-the-job training and by working closely with internal R&D team.
• Act as the lead interface with OEMs and Tier l customers assigned. Key account management interfaces will include Material Management, Purchasing, and Engineering/R&D... functions.
• Identify and prioritize key customers within assigned region, creation of action plans to grow business/relationship with customer and maintenance/reporting of quarterly ‘priority’ action plans to management and peers.
• Responsibility for program management function for key future projects including meeting timing, budget and customer expectations. Support to include attending customer meetings, summarizing meeting minutes, creation of customer presentations, reporting to internal team during weekly project meetings.
• Along with automotive, this position would also seek out opportunities to grow sales in non-automotive industries such as lawn & garden, irrigation, recreation, industrial equipment, power tools, among others.
• Responsibility within 180 days of hiring to creation of regional market study to assess key customers (Tier and OEM), key markets, key competitors within account mangers region of responsibility.
• Assist/attend customer moulding trials and document processing results and working with Technical Services and CAE Sr. Manager to ensure that a proper level of preparation occurs to ensure successful trials.
• Assisting with supporting the automotive industry, technical shows & conferences, as requested.
• Assisting sales and R&D team to understand new material development/approval opportunities.
• Report progress with customers, projects, through specified reporting tools, (WIG, Key Project Meeting). Keep up to date Customer Profiles, customer visit reports for all customers as assigned.

Person Spec
• University degree (in economics, business development, chemistry or another technical subject).
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a Sales Account Management role or Technical Services role in the Plastics industry.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with working directly with Tier I customers on thermoplastic products or minimum of 2 years’ experience working directly with automotive OEM’s.
• Minimum of 2 production programs supported from concept to production.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to a range of personality types.
• Strong internal cooperation and team player focus, with emphasis on project success rather than individual successes.
• Bilingual in German and English.
