A Family Amusement Park is seeking to employ a motivated, dedicated and experienced person as Maintenance Manager (Electrical)

Role Purpose

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the maintenance operations within an amusement park. This role involves ensuring the park's rides, attractions, facilities, and infrastructure are well-maintained and in optimal condition. The Maintenance Manager leads a team of maintenance technicians and coordinates with other departments to achieve efficient and safe park operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Repair and Maintenance:

Responsible for all work executed by internal or external craftsmen on the park, plants or technical installations.

Conduct daily safety inspections of amusement rides.

Implements all necessary work procedures for preventive maintenance, initiates respective scheduled procedures and monitors carrying out of work as well... as recording the results within appropriate filing system.

Ensures the sufficient and reasonable supply of spare parts on time.

Determines and prioritizes repair work and ensures the quick removal of all breakdowns.

Maintaining an inventory of spare parts and keeping record of all incoming and outgoing items.

Works out a concept of a yearly preventive maintenance program.

Establishes a monthly report of works carried out, machines maintained, special events, report, consumption of energy and water, etc. to the General Park Manager


Controls and endorses all invoices for installations, tools spare parts and consumption of material and forwards them to Finance Department for payment.

Initiates, executes and/or monitors training of his/her staff for engineering matters.

Assists and co-ordinates with the Chief of Security to provide proper Fire & Safety training for all staff of the Park.

Files and monitors all maintenance contracts and consults/advises the Park Manager when needed.

Being abreast of all agreements with local authorities, insurance companies, external firms, contractors and suppliers as well as monitoring their work and invoices.

General / Miscellaneous

Attends daily operational meetings

Ensures all staff is thoroughly familiar with the Park’s emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.

Execution of regular technical/skills training. Is responsible for setting up and maintaining ongoing training programs in the Engineering division in conjunction with the Personnel & Training Manager.

Initiates Fire Fighting Training in co-ordination with the local authorities (Fire Brigade) on a regular basis for all Park departments.

Maintains a monthly overview of vacation- and public holiday balance of all his/her staff and delivers a monthly consolidated summary to the Human Resources Manager.

Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Education Requirements:

At least BSc/BA Degree or Professional training/ trade school certification

Technical, mechanical, facilities/properties management knowledge

At least 10 years’ experience in a relevant field and possess a valid driver’s license.

Must be able to speak, write and understand English.

Previous experience leading and managing other employees.

Highly organized self-starter with the ability to work under minimal direction.

Trade school or comparable military training considers in lieu of experience.

General understanding of pneumatics, electronics (frequency drives) and other equipment in support of mechanical trades.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays during the operating season.

Outside of the operating season there is a much more standard work schedule and flexibility

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with a variety of environmental conditions.

Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time.

Frequent pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, bending, and twisting required.

Frequent exposure to high noise levels.

Occasional or frequent climbing, work at heights in excess of 50ft and lifting up to 75lbs.
