Brite Decking, Australia's leading supplier of composite decking and building materials, seeks a Supply and Distribution Manager to play a pivotal role in our national expansion. We are seeking a qualified person with a great attitude, responsible for the management of our supply chain from vendors to our residential and commercial customers in order to guarantee a... smooth flow of the goods by optimising all the processes involved.

About the Role

You will oversee daily operations, manage distribution hubs across QLD and VIC whilst leading a team of warehouse staff at our Chipping Norton (NSW) headquarters. This is an opportunity to become a logistics and operations leader, collaborating across departments to meet customer demand and achieve inventory targets.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategies to optomise the supply chain process, including sourcing, procurement, and delivery of oversized materials
• Establish relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, cost effectiveness and on time delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure sufficient stock levels to meet customer demands while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs across interstate warehouses.
• Implement inventory control measures, such as forecasting demand, monitoring stock levels, and conduct regular audits to prevent stockouts and overstock situations. Experience in using ERP systems (Zoho Inventory, Oracle SAP).
• Manage escalation of any logistical and operational issues.
• Plan and coordinate transportation , distribution, and warehousing activities to ensure timely delivery of products to customers and minimise transportation costs.
• Optomise logistics routes, modes of transportation and shipment consolidation to enhance operational efficiency and reduce lead times.
• Oversee warehouse operations including picking, packing, and dispatch of orders and supervise the unloading, receipt, and QC of goods entering the warehouse
• Implement safety protocols, quality control measures and inventory tracking systems to safeguard products and streamline order fulfilment processes.
• Track stock movement and develop strategies to move aged stock.
• Lead and supervise a team of supply chain and logistics staff, provide guidance , training and performance feedback to ensure a high level of productivity and service quality.
• Liaise with Purchasing and Customer Service departments.
• Report to the Managing Director on warehousing and distribution.

Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in logistics operations management (multi-site preferred) ideally within the building materials or manufacturing industry.
• Proven understanding of logistics principles and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of supply chain best practices and industry trends.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and ERP systems (Zoho and Inventory, Oracle SAP) - Experience with CRM a plus.
• Current MR or HR Driver's Licence (essential).

Bonus Points:
• Ability to travel interstate (20-30%).
• Experience managing storage and distribution of large items.
• Transport and logistics experience, including MR or HR multi-drop driving (ideally in FMCG).
• High level of organisation, analytical skills, and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to Chain of Responsibility (COR) and safety.
