Job Description: Program Assistant and Events Assistant

The Metro Women Business Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico is seeking qualified individuals for the role of Program and Events Assistant. These positions will be responsible for providing administrative support, coordinating program activities, and assisting with the planning and execution of various events and initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

The Program and Events Assistant for the Metro Women Business Center (MWBC) is responsible for coordinating the activities by working collaboratively with clients, business service providers, economic development entities, and the business community. The Program and Events Assistant ensures the success of MWBC commitment to supporting economic development by facilitating entrepreneurship and small business development.
• Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining program records.
•... Program Coordination: Support the coordination and implementation of various programs offered by the Women Business Center. This may include organizing workshops, training sessions, and mentoring programs for women entrepreneurs.
• Event Planning: Collaborate with the Program Manager to plan, organize, and execute events such as conferences, seminars, networking sessions, and business expos. This involves coordinating logistics, managing registrations, and ensuring a smooth event experience for participants.
• Communication: Assist with the creation and distribution of program-related communications, including newsletters, promotional materials, and social media updates.
• Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date program-related databases, ensuring information is organized and easily accessible when needed.
• Participant Support: Provide support to program participants, answering inquiries, offering guidance, and connecting them with relevant resources and opportunities.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to develop and implement strategies for program expansion, outreach, and community engagement.

Qualifications:
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor's degree in a related field such as business administration, event management, or communications is preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in administrative support, event planning, or program coordination is desirable. Familiarity with women's empowerment initiatives or entrepreneurship programs is a plus.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including program participants, facilitators, and community partners.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in program documentation, event logistics, and participant support.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with database management software.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to support the overall goals of the Women Business Center.

Note: This is a full-time position based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Puerto Rico.
