Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

As a Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ingesting raw... data and operationalising our most valuable data and analytics products using our Snowflake data warehouse. Working in cross-functional squads with other data professionals you'll help build integrated and reusable data pipelines and transformations that enable faster data access, integrated data reuse and improved time-to-solution.

We are seeking all levels of talented and experienced Data Engineers to join our forward-thinking team.

You'll be responsible for;
• Moving these data pipelines effectively into production and making curated data sets available for key data and analytics consumers like our business and data analysts and data scientists
• Providing support for data products and solutions that have deployed into production
• Measuring and monitoring the on-going performance of data pipelines, products and the data platforms, ensuring they meet the needs of the organisation

Mōu - About You

As an experienced data engineer, you'll have a keen interest in data modelling and would relish the opportunity to help us accelerate the data modelling part of our practice. You'll be interested in keeping up to date with all things Snowflake our primary data warehousing solution. An added bonus if you have experience working with dbt Cloud. You'll be someone who enjoys working within an agile team environment, who enjoys working in a collaborative way, on a variety of projects and programmes (both new greenfields and legacy), and with voluminous data sets.

You'll couple this with;
• Around 5+ years of work experience in data management disciplines including data integration, modelling, optimisation
• At least 2 years of experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver data initiatives or data products
• Hands-on development experience using SQL and Snowflake
• Previous data modelling experience using 3NF, Kimball and Data Vault would be advantageous, along with exposure or experience with Python and dbt
• The ability to design, build and manage data pipelines for data structures encompassing data transformation, data models, schemas, metadata and workload management
