Position Summary

Our client is a reputed veterinary group which provides holistic veterinary surgical care and pet welfare services. They are looking to hire a Head Veterinary Nurse to join their growing team in Singapore. As a Head Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic, providing leadership to the nursing staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to the animal patients. Job Description
• Oversee and manage all staff, fostering positive communication and maintaining strong working relationships within the team.
• Promote a positive attitude among staff and demonstrate a commitment to the organization's mission.
• Coordinate staff schedules, approve time-off requests, and organize workload to ensure efficiency and timely completion of tasks.
• Participate in the recruitment process and train new staff within budget constraints.
• Handle disciplinary actions... and staff counseling when necessary, document conversations, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable laws, providing ongoing training to staff.
• Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings and monthly clinic staff meetings.
• Provide hands-on animal care and oversee customer service concerns, addressing client complaints and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Notify clients of significant findings during a visit, ensuring proper dissemination of medical information and instructions.
• Train clinic staff in placing orders and maintaining effective inventory control.
• Assist Country Manager in overseeing clinic inventory, ensuring proper supply levels.
• Order necessary supplies and equipment within budget constraints.
• Ensure cleanliness and appearance of clinic areas, proper maintenance of equipment, and adherence to infection control procedures.
• Ensure accurate and proper documentation of findings, treatments, and procedures in patient medical records.
• Demonstrate flexibility in schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, or overnight hours. Animal handling is required.

Qualifications
• Minimally 8 years of experience as veterinary nurse with a proven track record of leadership.
• Strong clinical skills and in-depth knowledge of veterinary nursing practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
