We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial advisor who will be responsible for contributing to the branch’s success through the effective sales and management of clients’ mutual fund portfolios.

The ideal candidate will be accountable to meet with clients and prepare portfolios. The candidate must also drive business growth, on-board new clients, and provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of the mutual fund industry.

Job description

The candidate will assist clients with their financial objectives and risk tolerance. The candidate will be responsible to meet with clients to understand their financial situation, prepare financial strategies to suit clients’ needs, discuss with clients the most suitable financial strategies for them and take the court of action to implement it.

The candidate may also have to prepare presentations and do webinars on several topics to present to clients. Any event to educate clients... and attract new customers is encouraged.

Qualifications
• 3+ years investment sales experience
• Mutual Funds Licensed
• LLQP (An asset)

• Well-developed business development techniques and the ability to identify opportunities, plan and develop business to achieve business plans and goals.
• Thorough knowledge of mutual funds and the industry
• Knowledge of Insurance is an asset
• Ability to act with tact, good judgment, and discretion while protecting confidential information
• Must understand the level of detail, responsiveness, and confidentiality needed to thrive in a financial company
• Must be friendly, confident, professional and respectful with clients at all times over the phone, email and meetings (virtual or in-person)
• Ability to cultivate strong relationships with customers, peers and partners
• The candidate must be eager to learn more about the financial industry, and passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals

Responsibilities
• Talking to clients to determine their expenses, income, insurance coverage, financial objectives, tax status, risk tolerance, or other information needed to develop a financial plan.
• Answering client questions about financial plans and strategies and giving financial advice.
• Advising strategies for clients in investment planning, insurance coverage, cash management, and other areas to help them reach financial objectives.
• Reviewing client accounts and plans regularly to understand if life or economic changes, situational concerns, or financial performance require changes in their plan.
• Analyzing financial data received from clients to develop strategies for meeting clients' financial goals.
• Preparing or interpreting financial document summaries, investment performance reports, and income projections for clients.
• Managing and updating client portfolios.
• Contacting clients regularly to discover changes in their financial status.
