NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas. As... a Public Relations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing NextStar Energy's brand image, reputation, and relationships with media, stakeholders, and the public. This role is on-site.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive public relations strategy to enhance the organization’s external image
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with media, serving as primary media contact
• Produce and oversee engaging content across various platforms (press releases, key messages, story pitches, social media, articles) to highlight NSE's innovations, achievements, and contributions to sustainable energy solutions. Oversee distribution of press releases as needed.
• Organize and conduct press conferences and media events, serve as a media spokesperson, and prepare other spokespeople for media interactions
• Manage crisis communication and support the Crisis Response Team for emergencies, as needed
• Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of PR initiatives, refining strategies to achieve objectives
• Additional experience with Government Relations is a bonus

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of proven experience in public relations or corporate communications, preferably in the energy sector or technology industries.
• Strong media relations skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with media, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
• Ability to work on-site and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Creative and strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a high level of professionalism.
• G-Suite & or MS-Office knowledge and experience.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Goal oriented self-starter with ability to a lead team.
• Flexibility to handle urgent communication needs outside of regular business hours.
