About the role: As someone whose faith and passion fuels their everyday tasks, you will work alongside the Australian Program Director (APD) who oversees Tearfund’s supporter engagement work in Australia including; fundraising, church engagement, communications, education, marketing and advocacy. The PA forms a strong working partnership with the APD and supports them through management of a portfolio of administrative responsibilities, including supporting the Australian Program Leadership Team (APLT). The role spans regular administration, relationship management and communication, reporting and data management, events and external stakeholder management within a Christian discipleship framework. You will be energised by working both directly with the APD as well as the wider leadership team in helping ensure the success of Tearfund’s supporter engagement work in Australia. This part time (21 hours per week – flexible) role will play a critical part in Tearfund’s supporter engagement strategy and offers you some flexibility to choose your work hours. What you’ll need: A track record showing how highly organised you are – able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise, and work efficiently to deadlines in a calm and flexible manner Active Christian faith and strong commitment to Tearfund’s Christian mission, values and ethos Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively, negotiate well and build strong working relationships both internally and externally Demonstrated commitment and practice of integrity and confidentiality Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and employ initiative to help problem solve A track record indicating strong ability to pre-emptively anticipate administrative needs and priorities at a senior professional level, and to schedule with foresight Advanced verbal and written communication skills Excellent attention to detail, that is reflected across all levels of administrative work and practice Excellent at managing workflows and keeping others informed of progress High-level competence with MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), email software, project management software, databases, and Adobe tools For the full Position Description please refer to the listing on our careers page here.
