• Education Required: Bachelor
Minimum Teaching Experience: 3 years of teaching experience
• Major: Early Education

School Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Previous experience teaching preschoolaged children, preferably in a homeroom or lead teacher role.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles, theories, and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with children, families, and colleagues.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individual needs and interests of each child.
• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor.
• Bilingual (fluency in Spanish is a big... plus)

Nice to have:
• Knowledge of Reggio Emilia methodology
• Any training in the High Scope approach

Job Description:

• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where each child feels valued, respected, and supported.
• Establish positive relationships with students and families through regular communication, parent meetings, and updates on children's progress.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and materials to engage children in active learning experiences and foster curiosity and exploration.
• Foster independence and selfhelp skills in children, including toileting, dressing, and personal hygiene routines.
• Encourage children to express themselves creatively through art, music, dramatic play, and other handson activities.
• Incorporate literacy, numeracy, science, and other academic concepts into daily routines and playbased learning experiences.
• Observe and assess children's development and progress, and use assessment data to inform instruction and individualize learning experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment with ageappropriate materials and resources
