Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Junior Accounting Clerk located in Calgary, AB. The Junior Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting tasks, including The candidate will be tasked with data entry, ensuring that payments and receivables are up-to-date, and utilizing accounting software.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work... independently and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Receiving and recording cash, cheques and commissions
• Checking for accuracy in reports, figures, and postings
• Interacting with management, customers, and vendors
• Communicate with suppliers , enter Invoices, process payments
• Complete monthly reconciliation for all accounts (bank, payables , receivables )
• Assist in maintaining policy and procedure documentation for complex financial and accounting issue
• Maintain up-to-date, complete and systematic filing system to support financial records
• Participates in process improvement
• Works closely with Accountant for Year End Financials
• Other tasks and duties as assigned by the manager

• A college diploma in finance, bookkeeping, or accounting preferred
• 2 years of experience in bookkeeping/Accounting Clerk
• Exceptional computer skills and working knowledge of Excel, and bookkeeping platforms (knowledge of working with Sage is a bonus)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
• Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
• Excellent analytical, financial, and mathematical abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Extremely trustworthy and professionally-minded
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
