The governors of Etruscan Primary School,
which is part of the Orchard Community Trust, are looking to appoint an
enthusiastic, committed teacher to be a
part of our team from September 2024.

We are looking for an excellent classroom
practitioner to join our proactive team.

Etruscan Primary
School is a very special place. We serve a wonderfully diverse community and
have a school full of fantastic children.

The successful candidate will:
• Have primary teaching experience
• Have high expectations of achievement and
• Be an excellent classroom practitioner
• Have a proven track record of KS2 practice
• Have a good knowledge and understanding of
the Curriculum
• Have an understanding of a culturally diverse
• Be flexible and work well as part of a team
• Show an ability to foster a culture of
respect and openness; reflecting the ethos and values of the school.

role includes responsibilities for:
• Creating a
positive, purposeful, high quality learning... environment which encourages,
inspires and enables children to reach their potential – and beyond;
• Having high
standards of positive behaviour for learning, in line with the school’s
behaviour policy;
• Teaching children by planning their learning with closely matched
objectives and tasks, assessing their learning and giving feedback to achieve
progression of learning and meet high expectations;
• Adapting lessons and the environment to suit
the needs of all children;
• Work as a team member and identify opportunities for working with
colleagues, managing their work where appropriate and sharing the development
of effective practice with them.
• Ensure that colleagues working with them are appropriately involved in
supporting learning and understand the roles they are expected to fulfil.
• Ensure the safeguarding of all pupils and staff within the classroom, and
• Listen to
the children and provide opportunities which are pupil led and based on their
