We are a boutique financial planning firm conveniently located in downtown Vancouver. Our portfolio managers have been helping our family of clients accumulate wealth, save on their taxes and achieve financial independence since 1985.

We are searching for a dynamic individual to handle all of our daily administrative duties. This person must be highly organized, attentive to detail and proficient in various software programs. Outstanding customer service and communication skills are a must. Above average math & problem-solving skills are an asset.

Key Responsibilities:
• After being trained on current office procedures and platforms, you will recommend developing and implementing new and improved office methods, procedures and systems in order to continuously improve efficiency.
• Process client investment transactions – buys, sells, depositing cheques, processing transfers, opening accounts, etc. (will be trained).
• Screening, prioritizing and directing mail, email, and phone... calls.
• Accounts receivable and payable (QuickBooks).
• Database management (ACT) – proprietary software (will be trained).
• Income tax preparation (Profile): data entry, collating returns (will be trained).
• Responsible for client mail-outs and courier pickup & delivery.
• Website maintenance. Posting quarterly newsletter and other desktop publishing projects (will be trained).
• Inventory control; ordering office supplies, etc.
• Client care (on phone & in-person, greeting, seating, serving beverages, etc.).
• Keeping office tidy, some cleaning duties.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills/attributes:
• 1-2 years' related experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Strong English skills - written and verbal. Above average math skills.
• Superior organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Outstanding customer service skills, both in-person and over the phone.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (familiarity with Adobe is also preferable).
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Knowledge of programs such as Profile, QuickBooks and ACT are an asset.
• Successful completion of the Canadian Security Course is an asset.
• Dependable, team-player, responsible, highly ethical.
• Low laughter threshold an asset.

- Anticipated start date: immediate.

- Hours: Full time, M-F 8.30 am - 4.30 pm.

- 4 weeks/yr. paid vacation!!
