Virtualization and Infrastructure Specialist within the Managed Cloud team

About the Role:

As a Virtualization and Infrastructure Specialist within the Managed Cloud team, you will play a pivotal role in managing various Cloud platforms, implementing dedicated customer solutions, and providing day-to-day operational support. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining and upgrading existing platforms, advising on solutions, delivering new platforms, and ensuring adherence to challenging SLAs and KPIs across a diverse range of customers with varying objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide primary support for existing virtualized, storage, and backup environments.
• Offer ongoing support for virtualization and compute technologies, including but not limited to VxRail, VMware, Hyper-V, VDI/View, Cisco UCS, and HP & DELL Servers.
• Handle incidents, requests, and changes to meet Service Level Agreements with customers.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with... employees and stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams located across Europe and India.
• Maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and document standards and procedures.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvements in processes and services.
• Assist in project deliveries and follow ITIL-based change procedures.
• Evolve and implement new services to support technical functions in alignment with business requirements.
• Mentor and train team members to enhance skill sets.
• Provide on-call support periodically and ensure platform security procedures are upheld.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:
• Total IT Experience: 5-10 Years
• Relevant Technical Experience: 5 Years
• Proficiency in VMware ESXi & NSX-T
• Strong understanding of VM deployment, migration, and configuration.
• Experience managing large enterprise services and cloud-based platforms.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-performing team environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Capability to manage multiple work streams while maintaining quality.
• Expertise in backup tools and agents configuration and support.
• Capacity planning, analysis, and troubleshooting skills.

Desirable Qualifications and Experiences:
• Exposure to Managed Services.
• Knowledge of backup solutions like NetBackup, VEEAM, Druva, Quest, Backup Exec.
• Strategic thinking and evaluation abilities.
• Experience with VMware Skyline, vRO, SAN Fabric (Brocade, Cisco, DELL), DELL MX7000, CISCO UCS, V-Block.
• Technical proficiency in Windows Server Management, iSCSI, NFS, Fibre Channel protocols.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and MS Azure.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like PSH, WMI, Python.
