Job Title: Software Developer

Location: Birmingham

This role is 2 days in office and 3 days remote

We are Tech Canal, a dynamic HealthTech Consultancy founded in 2022 as part of the Clive Henry Group. The company collaborates closely with Mprove and Woodrow Mercer Healthcare, leveraging their combined expertise to drive innovation and transform the delivery of health and care.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Software Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, a keen interest in emerging technologies, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions. You will work closely with our director and our team to design, develop, and maintain software applications that meet the needs of our clients.

What you'll be doing:

⭐️ Design, develop, and implement software applications and systems.

⭐️ Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to create robust, scalable, and maintainable... software solutions.

⭐️ Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.

⭐️ Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

⭐️ Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.

⭐️ Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain current and competitive.

⭐️ Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

⭐️ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices within the development team.


🚀 Experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

🚀 Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar.

🚀 Experience with web development frameworks and tools (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js).

🚀 Familiarity with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data modelling.

🚀 Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).

🚀 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

🚀 Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

🚀 Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
