We are currently looking forSOP Author /Document Writer

To help us meet all company, industry and legislative requirements by standardizing operational technical documentation and SOPs, ensuring they are easy to understand, use, current and compliant.
• Stakeholder Management
• Build effective customer relationships, communicating clearly with all company stakeholders, managing expectations as required.

Work closely with L&D colleagues and SMEs to gather all necessary information, ensuring that all technical documents and SOPs are current, compliant and available to use via the LMS.

Note: There may be an occasional requirement to go on shift to gather information from SMEs.

Consult with the Technical Department to ensure all documents and SOPs are controlled and available to use via the QMS.

Operational Capability

Create, develop, edit and revise all workflows, user-guides, technical documentation, SOPs (this includes the use of One-Point Lessons (OPLs)) for deployment within Operations.

Adopt a standardized and consistent approach for the creation of all technical documents, and SOPs across operational departments and processes.

Represent the L&D department in all matters relating to the creation and updating of all technical documents and SOPs.

Continuously review and update the suitability of all technical documents and SOPs, including H&S working practices, to ensure they stay relevant and effective.

Keep up to date with industry standards and best practice in relation to technical documentation and SOP development.
• Attend project meetings to ensure the creation of technical documentation and SOPs for new capital equipment.
• Drive problem-solving with regards to technical documents and SOPs, including identifying key and common issues, developing effective solutions.
• Provide support with writing and editing of SOPs across Operations, including the delivery of SOP author training to departmental SMEs.
• Create technical documents and SOPs, in a user-friendly format which provides clear guidance to Operations in their day-to-day tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend changes, to enhance workplace efficiency and effectiveness.

What can you already do?

Strong writing and editing skills with, ideally, good experience in writing company-wide technical documents and SOPs.

Previous experience in the management and/or use of Document Management /Quality Management Systems.

Experience of producing technical documents and SOPs in a technical or manufacturing environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with internal & external customers at all levels.

Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into clear and concise technical documents and SOPs.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Familiar with process improvement methodologies and initiatives

Analytical problem solving ability, and able to take a logical approach to decision making.

Good attention to detail, and able to lead SMEs and content experts through the development of technical documents and SOPs.

Able to work autonomously and collaboratively with wider teams.

Persistence, and able to take things to a definitive outcome.

Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools, such as Visio.
