Description of role:
• The Senior Accountant is responsible for the provision of regular financial information in compliance with Group guidelines and local financial reporting regulations.
• The scope will be Portugal, Mozambique and Angola entities.
• The role holder... may be assigned to a particular specialist function within Finance to carry out specialist activities.

Main Job description:
• Ensure continuous compliance with all Finance policies, process, procedures and timeline, and promote best practice
• Ensure that all transactions and taxes are recorded and reported in accordance with Subsea 7 compliance and local legal requirements
• Booking the monthly transaction in accounting systems (SAP / Primavera).
• Organize, run and monitor the closing process monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Prepare, run and monitor the monthly forecasting, including prepare variances explanations.
• Maintain work organization and propose adjustments when necessary.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors with regards to accounting issues and internal control over Financial Reporting
• Prepare the annual statutory financial statements.
• Prepare, run and monitor the monthly VAT tax return and SAFTs files
• Ensure Finance capitalizes from lessons learned and is performed in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently

Professional Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree in Accounting or related discipline with sound accounting knowledge
• Experience in SAP and Primavera.
• Experience on preparation statutory financial statements
• Excellent knowledge of excel
• Good knowledge of VAT.
• Good level of English
• Knowledge of Angolan VAT will be a plus
• Minimum of five years' experience in the similar role.

• A good team player with strong interpersonal skills and can interact with all levels within the organization and region
• Strong planning, problemsolving and organizational skills and can prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Analytical thinking and attention to the details
