We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the accounting and financial functions of a Multinational company operations in Portugal. The ideal candidate will hold a Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or ACCA qualification, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in finance management, specifically within the manufacturing industry. Fluency in Portuguese, coupled with the ability to manage accounting and finance functions independently, are essential for this role.Responsibilities:
• Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support the strategic objectives of the manufacturing division.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis in compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
• Cost Management: Analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor... and overhead expenses, and implement strategies to optimize cost efficiency and enhance profitability.
• Inventory Control: Establish and maintain effective inventory management procedures to ensure accurate valuation, minimize excess inventory, and support production requirements.
• Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to meet operational needs and investment commitments, while minimizing financing costs and risks.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, including corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding tax, liaising with tax authorities as necessary.
• Internal Controls: Implement and monitor robust internal control procedures and policies to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Financial Systems Optimization: Review and enhance financial systems, processes, and controls to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance skills and capabilities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Strategic Decision Support: Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making, investment evaluation, and business planning initiatives.

Qualifications:
• Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or ACCA qualification required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance management, with a focus on manufacturing operations.
• Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation regulations in Portugal.
• Experience in cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems, with the ability to leverage technology for process improvements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
