Contract opportunity in Wilkes-Barre PA.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough review, evaluation, and update of Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans in compliance with 40 CFR 112 and PADEP guidelines.
• Perform onsite evaluations, facility inspections, and interviews to gather necessary data for SPCC plan recertification.
• Develop and implement engineering controls, operational procedures, and administrative actions to prevent and mitigate oil spills.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with staff to inventory oil-containing devices, tanks, and equipment for inclusion in the SPCC plan.
• Modify SPCC training materials as needed based on review findings.
• Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of draft SPCC updates and mappings.
• Coordinate activities with the GEMS Program Manager and adhere to government property and privacy regulations.
• Wear compliant ID badge and complete annual Privacy training.

Preferred Experience and Attributes:
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations, particularly 40 CFR 112 and PADEP guidelines.
• Experience in conducting facility inspections and developing SPCC plans.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
