The Opportunity

Venturis Capital is looking... for a dynamic and experienced Communications Manager to join our team in Langley, British Columbia. As the Communications Manager, you will be responsible for building internal communications programs that support our business' needs and help create a lasting, positive impact on employee engagement and culture.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Communications Manager your key responsibilities will include:

Strategic Communications Planning and Execution
• Lead development and planning of communication strategies that support the business units and corporate departments
• Provide consultative communication services to leadership and functional teams to assist in formulating their specific communications messages and objectives
• Manage overall channel infrastructure to ensure effective targeting of messages and company news
• Measure and report on communication outcomes; creating metrics to measure communication effectiveness
• Provide thought leadership and stay ahead of relevant trends, technology and internal communication best practices

Business Transformation
• Strategic and critical thinking to develop targeted communications strategies that support the rollout and adoption of new programs, processes, and technology implementation

Intranet Development & Maintenance
• Ability to navigate developing a centralized Intranet platform to deliver company news to all employees
• Coordination between internal stakeholders to source and develop content
• Building and maintaining a company-wide content strategy to ensure that content remains relevant and up to date

Content Management
• Manage day-to-day communication strategy, planning, content sourcing and distribution
• Maintain a forward-looking message map and content schedule that integrates with the corporate narrative, ELT business strategies, quarterly updates, and other known calendar activities
• Stay connected to the employee voice and ensure leadership is aware of any messages that aren’t landing with employees, areas of resistance or rumor mills that require immediate transparency
• Basic understanding of graphic design and visual communications to support the projects listed above

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
• Undergraduate degree (communications, journalism, or related discipline)
• 7+ years of communications experience within a fast-paced, corporate environment
• Experience creating and delivering impactful communication plans and content for a range of online and offline internal communications channels
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and information gathering experience to shape compelling content across multiple internal channels (digital and in-person)
• Strong organizational and project management skills with experience in managing multiple, diverse projects and tight deadlines with autonomy
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal clients and stakeholders
• Strong command of the efficient use of Office 365 suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Forms, Teams, Stream, Video, Viva
• Ability to travel to the United States

The base pay range for this role is: $83,000-$104,000 annual salary

This is a hybrid role based in Langley, British Columbia.
