Title: Regional Manager, Environmental Public Health Services.

Salary: $95,848 - $116,617 per year (pay range explained below).

Contract: Full-Time; Permanent.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri).

Location: Vancouver Island Regional Offices.

Bargaining Unit: PSAC Local 22000 (Public Service Alliance of Canada).

About The Role

As the Regional Manager, Environmental Public Health Services, you will manage and evaluate the protection, promotion, and enhancement of the health and wellness of First Nations communities in British Columbia. This will be accomplished through Environmental Public Health programs... and services, including communicable disease control, drinking water, health and housing, food safety, solid waste, public buildings, emergency preparedness and response, risk assessment, environmental contaminants research, wastewater disposal, and pest management.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have/be –
• Bachelor of Technology Degree in Environmental Health, or Public Health Inspection, recognized by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI).
• Five (5) years of experience working in multi-disciplinary, and multi-agency public health teams or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada) granted by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI).
• Certifications such as Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Onsite Wastewater Management, CSA Playground Inspector, and Small Water System Operation.

You may have experience in -
• Leading, planning, and managing the implementation of environmental public health programs and services.
• Providing leadership and advice to Environmental Health Officers to ensure compliance.
• Planning and managing the conduct of, and occasionally conducts inspections, investigations, and/or other activities relating to environmental public health programs, and ensures completion of environment assessment screening reports of First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) facilities.

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.

We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
