Job Summary

The procurement data analyst role is a crucial position within CARE Procurement team reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, responsible for analyzing and interpreting data related to the organization's procurement operations. This position will support the entire data management life-cycle for CARE USA procurement, maintaining a focus on ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and usability to support effective decision making and enhance procurement data management across the organization's operations in multiple countries.

This role involves designing the data requirements and gathering, organizing, and evaluating data from various sources. The Procurement Data Analyst will utilize advanced analytics techniques and data visualization tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive informed decision-making and improve efficiency.

Job Responsibility
• Data Collection, Analysis and Reporting (35%)

Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data. Removing corrupted data and fixing errors and related problems. Working to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications. Building and generate dashboards and reports and perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to procurement data. Prepare regular reports for country offices, regional teams, and global headquarters.
• Capacity Building (20%)

Provide training and support to country office staff on data collection methodologies, data management systems, and reporting tools. Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and build the capacity of local teams to effectively utilize data for improved procurement management.

Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in data management and reporting. Identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
• Stakeholder Engagement (20%)

Respond to data-related queries and requests in a professional and timely manner. Preparing analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends.

Present data in a clear and concise manner using various visualization techniques such as charts, graphs, and dashboards. Prepare presentations for internal stakeholders, including senior management, to facilitate data-driven decision.
• Collaboration and Coordination (20%)

Collaborate with country offices, regional teams, and other stakeholders to align supply chain data management practices and ensure data consistency across all levels. Coordinate with IT departments or external vendors for technical support and system maintenance.

Qualifications

Education/Training
• A bachelor’s degree in a field related to data management
• Certified competency in Power BI and other data visualization software
• Fluency in English, verbal and written
• Advanced qualification in data management (advantage)
• Certified competency and/or advanced skills in Office 365 applications (advantage)

Experience / Technical Skills
• 3-5 years’ experience in assisting international organizations in developing and managing data management systems for their operations in multicultural contexts
• 3 years’ experience in relevant administrative duties
• 3 years’ experience working living in developing countries/contexts with at least two years operations global environments.
• Proven capacity to be able to evaluate, analyze and contextualize complex and challenging data management issues to different stakeholders and audiences
• High level of experience in developing data management related procedures, tools guidelines and systems
• Demonstrate strong capacity to advise, consult and otherwise interact with other departments to achieve fleet management goals.
• Ability to deliver training to adult audiences
• Previous experience of procurement related data management (advantage)
• Experience of working at a global level, supporting multiple country and presences (advantage)
• People Soft, SQL, and MS SharePoint experience is a plus
