About the position Threat Advisory Services, a core part of AppGate Inc, is seeking an experienced, motivated individual to lead our Malware Analysis and Research Team (MART). Immunity's MART performs and reports on specific malware and general trends; develops tools and techniques to efficiently deliver high-quality analysis and reporting; publishes blogs, diaries, and media briefings on related topics; and assists internal and external customers in support of overall AppGate goals. The MART Manager must be able to perform these tasks at a high level, while managing the team's day to day activities and inspiring excellence from team members. Responsibilities Individually responsible for:
Lead by example to inspire excellence in MART employees Track status of MART activities, projects, and deliverables Responsible for all day-to-day activities of the MART Research and develop new and innovative offerings related to malware analysis Manage and work with the MART team to:
Create... specialized materials related to malware, such as analysis reports, technical documents, trainings, webinars, and blog posts Provide detailed documentation on malware behavior, techniques, and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) from analysis results andor research, within a ticketing system and the expected deliverables Evaluate threats identified within a binary, based on analysis, notify or advise accordingly Create tools or systems to improve malware detection, identification, and correlation capabilities Design, deploy, and integrate secure malware analysis environments for Immunity and Appgate's global products and services Actively support development and management of Immunity's malware

analysis platform Handle service requests within SOP guidelines and comply with customer Service Level Agreement (SLAs) Collaborate and actively communicate with team members on projects, services, and integration efforts Interact with clients at a technical level, when necessary Stay up to date on the latest news and security updates, and all malware-related topics Serve as a point of contact throughout a malware analysis case lifecycle, this may consist of; acknowledgement of receipt of analysis requests, brief customer reports, research, manual analysis, request for additional resources if necessary, and providing deliverables. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related degrees; or 5 years of experience reserve engineering; or GREM certification English required; Spanish and Portuguese are optional 3 years of Malware Analyst experience at the senior level Minimum of 3 years of technical writing and report generation Some experience in small team leadership Skills Reverse-engineer any type of threat (banking trojan, ransomware, botnet, backdoor, etc.) to understand functionality, dependencies and behavior Deep understanding of reverse engineering malware samples, as well as basic static and dynamic analysis of Windows, Linux, Android and MacOS files. Familiar with tools such as Immunity Debugger, WinDBG, OllyDBG, x64dbg, IDA pro, Radare, Cutter, Volatility, Wireshark, Sysinternals Suite. Knowledge of Assembly, Python, CC++, JavaScript, Visual Basic, and Delphi Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills The ability to integrate and pair with other researchers on research efforts Organized and exhibits effective time management
