The Mechanical Engineer I will be responsible for detailed product design and sustaining engineering in the Hardware Engineering department. Responsibilities
• Learn and apply engineering and design best practices
• Use 2D and 3D CAD to design gaming cabinets and related mechanical sub-assemblies, components, and development kits
• Use 2D and 3D CAD to convey design intent to peers and suppliers and to validate parts meet specifications
• Work with electrical engineers to design mechanical models of printed circuit board assemblies and wire harnesses
• Develop mechanical concepts, build prototypes and perform feasibility studies for new designs
• Create assembly work instructions, service instructions and mechanical specific sections of the product owner's manual
• Provide Operational support for component sourcing, supplier qualifications, engineering builds and field service
• Model and verify fit, form and function of OEM mechanical and electrical components
• Support for sustaining engineering projects to include EOL components, cost reductions and design enhancements

Skills/Requirements
• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 0 - 3 years of experience in mechanical product development related roles
• Strong problem-solving ability and sense of urgency for task completion
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles as it applies to product design and development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey design intent to peers and management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and similar tools
• Experience using SolidWorks (preferred) or other mechanical CAD tool, including Sheet Metal, Routing, Surfacing, and PDM Works
• Experience with design of electronic packaging using sheet metal, die castings, plastics, and fasteners preferred
• Experience with designing and administering test methods for validating prototypes preferred
• Experience with BOM management, product configurations and document control preferred
• Prior internship or co-op experience is a plus
• Experience with gaming or other consumer or public-use human-interface products is a plus
• Experience with nationally recognized safety lab submissions is a plus (UL, ETL, CE)
• Working knowledge of standard mechanical workshop tools
• 5-10% travel
