Be a part of an energy-filled workplace that pays for performance, where you can invest in a career where you can grow into project management or business development opportunities if desired.nnThe Staff Mechanical Engineer will work on project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of projects including airports, government, military, process, corporate, institutional, industrial, and manufacturing facilities. The Staff Mechanical Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting mechanical plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.nnPerform mechanical and plumbing design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.nnModify and review production drawings for a variety of projects including, but not limited to: airports, government, military, process, corporate, institutional, industrial, and manufacturing facilities.nnDesign mechanical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.nnApplies strong knowledge of commonly used mechanical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the mechanical engineering services industry.nnResearch and compile project-related data as required by the project managers.nnUpdate drawings provided by senior engineers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD related software.nnCompiles information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of power, process, pipeline, industrial, airports, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.nnPerforms field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients.nnAll other duties as assigned.nnQualificationsnnBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.nnOr Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.nnMaster of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering may be substituted for 1 year experience.nn3 years of mechanical engineering experience, consulting preferred.nnSuccessful completion (i.e. passing) FE or EIT preferred.nnLEED AP BD C is preferred or a desire to obtain accreditationnnStrong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.nnExcellent written and verbal communication skills.nnAbility to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.nnProficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures.nnStrong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)nnStrong computer skills include AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), 3D Rendering Programs, hydraulic analysis, and HVAC analysis programs.nnStrong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.nnThis job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until fillednnEEO/Minorities/Females/Disabled/VeteransnnJob Mechanical EngineeringnnPrimary Location US-GA-AtlantannSchedule: Full-timennTravel: Yes, 25 % of the TimennReq ID: 240033nnJob Hire Type Experienced #LI-VR #A&F
