CREGG are delighted to be working with our client in hiring a warehouse manager for their site in Shannon, Clare.
This is a permanent role, reporting to the supply chain director. The successful candidate will require strong people management and day to day warehouse operations experience.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the goods inwards, picking, packing, and shipping functions.
• Optimum & Safe Storage of all inventory classifications - Resale, Raw Materials, WIP, Bought In, Packaging
• Manage the above functions to achieve On Time Delivery & operational targets.
• Liaise and develop strategic partnerships with freight service providers and other suppliers as appropriate to ensure excellent delivery service at competitive pricing.
• Work collaboratively with Production, Purchasing, Sales & QA Departments to ensure effective delivery of distribution targets.
• Ensure optimum SAP usage & Reporting with Purchasing function and RSO management of Vendor Management Inventory customers.
•... Develop and create best practice in a commercial shipping dispatch office with high customer focus on achieving On Time Delivery
• Manage, develop and motivate direct staff reports, ensuring a high level of employee engagement through empathy & KPI’s.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, housekeeping and health and safety policies are adhered to in all areas of responsibility.
• Identify and deliver strategic & continuous improvement projects specifically aimed at scaling, quality improvements and process efficiency.
• Any other responsibilities relating to the warehouse function as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements/ Experience
• 5+ years warehouse & inventory management experience
• 3+ years supervisory and people management experience
• An in-depth knowledge of the laboratory supplies industry is desirable.
• Understanding of legislative & customs requirements with regard to shipping of hazardous goods (road, sea, air)
• SAP Computer Knowledge
• A relevant qualification in a logistics discipline is desirable.
• Ability to manage, motivate and develop team reports.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
