The Role

Are you passionate about creating amazing app UX writing? We're looking for a dynamic, self-motivated UX writer to join our Product UX/UI design team.

You'll help us build effective, customer-focused solutions by crafting, editing, and refining... various product-related UX writings.

This includes ensuring the UX copy is consistent and adheres to contemporary UI standards.

We'd love to connect with you if you're skilled in gathering information through research, hands-on product use, and customer interviews for selected projects.

Your goal will be to provide a consistent, easy-to-understand, and human tone of voice that enhances the user experience.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the nonprofit sector and help thousands of organizations and people in need across the US and the world.

• Content Creation: Develop and maintain clear, concise, and compelling UX copy for interactive interfaces, including buttons, tooltips, error messages, and many other UI elements.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, strategists, marketing teams, engineers, and researchers to ensure all content meets both business objectives and users' needs.
• Research: Participate in user research and usability testing to understand user behaviors and needs, integrating insights into content strategies for the product team.
• Content Strategy: Define a content strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, focusing on optimizing user engagement and facilitating ease of use.
• Style Guides: Create and maintain a UX writing style guide in line with the organization's brand voice, ensuring consistency across all platforms and touchpoints.
• Editing and Proofreading: Ensure all UX content is free of errors, is user-friendly, and aligns with UX copy best practices where applicable.
• Feedback Integration: Regularly update and refine content based on analytics and user feedback to improve functionality and user satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience
• Experience: 3+ years as a UX writer, content strategist, or similar role in a tech or nonprofit environment, accompanied by a portfolio showcasing a range of UX writing. Experience with SaaS platforms is highly advantageous.
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in English, UX Design, Journalism, Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• User-Centered UX Writing: Strong understanding of UX principles, user-centered design processes, interactions, and accessibility standards.
• Strong Writing Skills: A keen eye for grammar and a deep respect for content style, voice, and tone. Passion for solving complicated problems and making things simple.
• Teamwork: Experience working with designers, engineers, and product managers.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to use data from usability tests and user feedback to guide content decisions and improve user experiences.
• Curiosity: Eager to learn the product area inside and out and demonstrate how content recommendations fit with the product.
• Remote Environment: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Communication Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an ability to create persuasive and clear content suited for diverse audiences.
• Positive Attitude: Friendly and open attitude, including the ability to share and receive feedback.
• Mission Alignment: A passion for the nonprofit sector and a deep understanding of how Donorbox user experience can advance an organization's mission.
• Tools: Basic UX copy editing experience with UX UI design tools such as Figma

• Fully remote based in US or Canada (ideal candidates based in EST)
• Salary: $75,000-$90,000 USD, depending on experience and location
• Three-month testing period

• Prescreen Call with the Talent Acquisition Associate
• Interview with the Hiring Manager to review your UX writing portfolio and experience
• Interview Panel to assess your product knowledge, teamwork skills and communication
• Live whiteboard session where you will present your UX writing skills and process on three simple tasks
