About us
Being a pivotal role in the concept to production of a Dyson Designed Cell puts the Development team at the heart of this exciting journey. The team will translate early concept directions into fully developed, optimised & validated solutions to make at high volume for the next generation of Dyson products.

About the role

Design and iterate on anode formulations to determine formulation-performance correlated factors, optimize the performance of the cell made in cell chemistry platform.
Perform hands-on experiment to demonstrate the function of anode formulation with solid electrochemical and material basis.
Visualize your ideas in design of experiment (DoE) and develop and invent effective methodologies for result analysis to support the proof of your hypothesis.
Investigate correlation in a stream of material process parameter - material properties - performance in a cell, provide a perspective of new materials introduction and contribute to smooth transition of incubated... technologies into mass production.
Establish effective collaboration across teams onroot cause/FMEA analyses to identify and mitigate under performance in the full-cell and scale up process.
Build small-scale prototype cells to measure key metrics and demonstrate technology developments.

About you

Minimum 2 years experience in anode material development for energy storage including material test, evaluation and utilisation.
Degree or diploma in materials science, materials engineering, chemical engineering, or related disciplines.
Prerequisite to have hands-on laboratory experience in electrochemical testing (e.g. voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, titration techniques, battery cell cycling) and/or cell fabrication, to support pilot line cell tests.
Strong working knowledge of material chemistry, electrochemistry and problem-solving competence.
Experience with cell development process and understanding of essential outputs of each development stage is advantageous.
Have unbiased view and high ethical standard towards data analysis and reporting.
Desire to learn from new challenges, problem solving, and communication skills to work within a highly interactive and experienced team.
Comfortable with a hands-on approach to getting things done
