Job Title: Health & Safety Advisor

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum plus use of company vehicle

Location: Haslingden

Role: Permanent

We are recruiting for a passionate Health & Safety Advisor with a proactive approach and lots of initiative to drive our clients “safety first” agenda. Working autonomously, with support from the leadership team this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career. Our client is one of the fastest growing companies in their industry. They are a £10 million turnover multi-disciplined business with sites across the Northwest and Yorkshire with new sites planned as part of their expansion plans for the next 5 years. About you:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Health & Safety Advisor with the confidence and experience needed to implement H&S strategy across the business, ensuring adoption of good practice throughout this multi-site... company. You will be able to manage day to day operations, being an expert voice and providing guidance to the wider team whilst proactively driving where changes and improvements through sites.

Who we’re looking for?
• Strong track record of influencing and engaging teams to encourage positive behaviour and educate all levels of people on the importance of H&S both individually and as a business.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to gain buy in.
• Detail orientated with a demonstratable success managing multiple projects.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
• Able to drive your agenda and be the Champion for HSEQ across the business.
• NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous

Health & Safety Advisor: Key Responsibilities:
• Development and delivery of health and safety across the business, ensuring it is fit for purpose and develops companywide best practice.
• Leading all day-to-day H&S matters and responsible for implementing, maintaining and improving HSEQ management systems and driving adherence to internal and external standards.
• Providing expert health and safety advice and knowledge to the group.
• Adopt a continuous improvement methodology, proactively identifying opportunity for changes and improvements across all operational sites
• Management of insurance claims and third-party relationships.
• Development of policies, standards, and training to ensure HSE regulatory requirements are understood and adhered to.
• Business safety, health and environment compliance – ISO, COSHH, LOLER, PUWER
