My client is a leading insurer in Hong Kong and this role is responsible for developing and maintaining an effective compliance framework aligned with Insurance Authority regulations. You will conduct risk assessments, provide guidance related to compliance matters, deliver training programs, establish a robust monitoring program, and build positive relationships with regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain an effective compliance framework: Design and implement compliance policies, procedures, and controls in line with Insurance Authority (IA) regulations and industry best practices. Ensure ongoing compliance monitoring and reporting to senior management and regulators.
• Regulatory compliance management: Stay updated on IA guidelines and relevant laws and regulations. Assess the impact of new regulations on the organization and provide guidance for compliance. Coordinate regulatory inspections and audits.
• Compliance risk assessment and mitigation: Conduct... periodic risk assessments to identify compliance gaps. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. Provide guidance on compliance matters to business units.
• Compliance training and awareness: Deliver compliance training programs to enhance employees' understanding of regulations and internal policies. Promote a strong compliance culture through communication and awareness campaigns.
• Monitoring and reporting: Establish a robust compliance monitoring program. Prepare compliance reports and metrics. Proactively identify and escalate compliance issues.
• Regulatory relationship management: Build positive relationships with the Insurance Authority. Represent the organization in regulatory meetings and respond to inquiries.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or compliance certifications preferred.
• 5 or 8 years of compliance experience in the insurance industry, with knowledge of Insurance Authority regulations (depends on the level)
• Proven experience in designing and implementing compliance frameworks and policies.
• Strong understanding of compliance risk assessment and mitigation.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with compliance-related systems and tools is a plus
