Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

Our client, a leading global aircraft leasing business, a recognised leader in the aviation sector are hiring both a Financial Accountant and Senior Financial Accountant due to growth.

Job Overview:

Now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
• Coordinate the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyse financial performance against budget and forecasts... providing insights and recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal control policies.
• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
• Manage cash flow planning and forecasting.
• Prepare cash flow statements and related analysis.
• Mentor and develop junior finance team members.
• Excellent stakeholder management experience.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
• Minimum of 4-5 experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the aviation or leasing industry.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
