The Role:Our client are a Cork based construction firm who are urgently a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team to work on a significant residential project in Bray, Co. WicklowThis position requires a commercially-minded individual who ensures costs are managed from inception to final account, while supporting the project needs. The projects are delivered in a fast-paced work environment, and problem-solving skills, organisational and communication skills are all required. You will be working with a diverse and project-driven team.Responsibilities:Managing the Monthly/Weekly Cost/Value ReportsOpportunity and risk identification, analysis and managementManagement of Monthly Valuations including additional Works, remeasurement and milestone valuationNegotiating the cost of projects, from variations to final account.Negotiation award and management of Sub-ContractorsProactive engagement with the estimating team on lessons learnedManage Project Costings and project finance... reporting / progress trackingQualifications, Skills, Attributes and Experience:A primary Degree in Quantity Surveying.3-5 years post-qualification experience within the industry.Excellent Commercial knowledge and understandingStrong IT skills with MS OfficeStrong communication skillsAbility to work independently, manage the project priorities.Develop client relationships
