QA Manager

Location: remote

You and Your Team:

As a QA Manager, you will be reporting to the Head of Digital Product Development. You will be responsible for the definition and execution of the Snoop and VBG Digital’s testing strategy and all QA activities as part of a cross-functional delivery team. You will work with the wider QA community within VBG to align to group standards and policies and drive a more digital approach to application testing based on the proven Agile delivery methodology used for Snoop. Define and implement an overarching application testing strategy, including: tool selection, automation and manual... implementation approach, execution methodology, test case definition and test case execution. You will work closely with the Snoop and VBG digital product teams to ensure that the all digital applications meet the required quality standards when used by customers.

In your day-to-day role, as a QA Manager you will:
• · Defining and executing VBG Digital’s (including Snoop) QA strategy as part of the cross-functional Agile delivery teams
• · Maintaining alignment between the Digital QA strategy and other QA team strategies within VBG
• · Providing industry expertise to drive a more efficient and robust approach to QA activities across VBG
• · Inputting into group –wide QA policy definition and evolution
• · Maintain digital adherence to Group-wide policies
• · Leading the quality assurance of VBG’s customer facing applications (including Snoop)
• · Planning and creating test specifications and test scripts
• · Manual front-end and back-end test execution
• · Test automation for both new feature development as well as regression
• · Non-functional testing
• · Mentoring QA colleagues

What will make you stand out?
• Expertise in web and mobile application testing and assurance
• Extensive experience in defining testing strategies as part of an Agile cross-functional delivery teams
• Extensive experience leading an Agile QA team across automated and manual testing activities
• Experience inputting into group-level QA policy definition and working closely with other QA leaders to drive efficiency and robustness in end-to-end QA processes
• Experience leading QA teams and developing less experience QA analysts
• Experience in writing test cases
• Experience in working with and writing acceptance criteria in a BDD format
• Experience of working with databases and good basic SQL skills
• Experience of API testing and knowledge of JSON and XML
• Experience working with Agile AQ tools (Jira, Confluence, TestRails (or equivalent), Charles, Fiddler (or equivalent), DBeaver (or equivalent), Automation testing such as Selenium, BrowserStack

The interview process:
• Up to 30minute telephone call with a member of the Talent Acquisition team
• Up to 60 mins with the hiring team – Technical interview
• Final interview with the team up to 60 mins – Competency based
