In order to support our growth, we are currently looking for a Jr. Strategist in our Toronto office. This role is within our Strategy team and is a key position that works between strategy and creative teams.

• Understand our client needs and write or respond to briefings.
• Establish ambitious yet attainable marketing goals and objectives for clients.
• Uncover and articulate insights about customers / consumers that drive... action.
• Support the ideation process alongside the Sr. Strategist and creative team.
• Create compelling strategic narratives and be prepared defending your position.
• Develop a broad range of strategic planning documents based on the situation including for example: consumer profiles, strategic hierarchy, brand experience summaries, strategic narratives, creative briefs, engaging presentation decks, communications hierarchy, etc.
• Provide the proper level of research and summarize relevant insights for the development of the solution.
• Establish the strategic direction, path to success and KPIs for the program.
• Act like the “gatekeeper” of the strategy and actively participate in the creative process in conjunction with the creative director and the client service team while earning their trust along the way.
• Lead / organize creative briefing process.
• Lead or participate in client presentations.
• Build / create client presentations, budgets, and scope of work.
• Build strong and successful relationships with our clients at all levels.

Qualifications and skills required:
• Curious, meticulous, and creative.
• Ability to analyze, synthesize and understand data quickly to distill what matters, and what doesn’t.
• Strong organization and time management skills with a keen attention to detail
• Can manage multiple competing priorities.
• Confident and engaging storyteller that can command a room.
• Ability to work collaboratively in team environment and independently.
• Comfortable challenging briefs and having strategic discussions with peers/ cross functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or specialized in business management.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in business consulting, business strategy or an integrated marketing role
• Retail trade and/or experiential marketing an asset.
• Able to present information clearly and enthusiastically and to persuade others.
• Willing and able to travel as needed.
• Digital native with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
