Mandate

The Manager, Paid Marketing and Analytics supports UVic’s Integrated Marketing and Communications Plan by leading a team that effectively reaches audiences with paid strategies, analyzes data to inform marketing decisions and manages process and technology to support workflow.

Objectives
• Manage UCAM’s paid marketing strategy to improve UVic’s brand health
• Analyze data to reduce marketing costs, inform strategy and find new opportunities
• Manage process and technology to improve workflow and increase efficiency
• Manage communities of practice to improve brand cohesion
• Manage a high performing team to meet departmental and institutional objectives

Undergraduate degree in marketing or a related field and a minimum of five years’ experience working in a marketing field with a focus on strategy, systems and analytics. Preference may be given to work experience gained in a post-secondary or similarly complex, large organization. An equivalent combination of education... training and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Include

• expert knowledge of complex marketing functions such as market research, strategy, planning, branding, analytics and advertising
• investigation and interpretation of marketing data
• expert knowledge of marketing and operational platforms including advertising, email, media intelligence and listening, data management, project management, social media and digital asset management
• ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and tailor communication style and medium for different audiences and situations
• proficiency with MS-Office Suite and Adobe Create Suite
• strong leadership and management, with an ability to lead staff to develop strategic and creative marketing solutions
• excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with staff and clients, using diplomacy and tact to navigate often difficult and confidential matters

Preferences include experience with Meta business suite, LinkedIn campaign manager, StackAdapt, Google ads and Analytics, Agency Analytics, Power BI, Asana, Hootsuite, Meltwater, Portfolio, Semrush and TelemetryTV
