Who will you be joining?

As part of the Global Sustainability (GS) team at Allianz, you will join an international team of sustainability experts and be part of the Regulatory team.

Located at Allianz’s headquarters in Munich... the Global Sustainability department drives the sustainability strategy of Allianz Group, it integrates climate, environmental, social, and governance considerations in our business and operations.

The sustainability regulation team focusses on the fast evolution of sustainability regulation to keep top management and the entire organisation informed and support effective implementation across the Allianz Group with consistency and effectiveness. Our sustainability regulation platform secures regular interaction with all internal stakeholders at Group and OE level on newest developments. We actively contribute to the regulatory debate with expert opinion derived from our experience and insights from implementation of all types of sustainability regulation across the value chain of the Group. We provide program management and support implementation efforts of newest regulations that affect multiple functions in parallel; actual focus is on CSRD implementation and reporting.

This also includes integration of sustainability in the Allianz corporate rules book and active support to respective reporting efforts.

Lastly, we currently explore the use of GenAI for efficiency gains in regulatory reporting of sustainability integration in the Allianz corporate rules book.

How can you make an impact?

You will:
• support oversight on regulatory developments in the field of sustainability and effective sharing with internal stakeholders who are affected for implementation
• organise regular interaction with Group Center functions and OEs for information sharing and discussing most effective implementation
• keep oversight (program management) over actual implementation efforts on most actual regulation (2024 focus is on CSRD)
• support integration of regulatory standards in the Allianz corporate rules book where appropriate
• work on use of GenAI for efficiency gains in regulatory reporting of sustainability integration in the Allianz corporate rules book.

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications:
• Legal or business expert with focus on insurance, asset management and financial service regulation, basic understanding of the EU sustainable finance regulation and key global sustainability regulation dynamics;
• Good understanding of the EU regulatory change processes and management including implementation;
• (initial) experience with use of GenAI to manage large text information;
• multiple language (proficinent in English and advanced German);
• proven track record in project management and managing multiple stakeholder;
• strong negotiation skills;
• Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
• > 8 years of experience in Financial Service and Insurance Industry;
• Profound understanding of legal, regulatory and supervisory framework governing insurance globally;
• Proven change management experience across multiple functions in large organisation;
• Ability to integrate multiple stakeholder perspective and interest;
• Initial experience in use of GenAI and programming for analytics on large legal texts and corporate rules;
• High motivation and self-learning capabilities to expand use of GenAI for corporate rules management
