Position Purpose

To a)be a passionate host and b) assist the Finance Operations Managerin managing the accounting processes at the hotel, ensuring 100%hotel compliance with all relevant laws, accounting standards, andcompany policies.

Duties & KeyResponsibilities

• Communicate clearly and constructivelywith other team members to help deliver great guest experiences atour hotel.
• Be a role model for others bydemonstrating passionate, friendly brand-specific guest service atall times
• Always deliver ‘fairshare’ in team tasks and support colleagues whoseworkload may temporarily be heavy.
• Be willingto lend a hand where it is needed most and spend at least 30minutes per day helping in operations such as housekeeping,stewarding, and F&B service, providing brand-specific guestexperiences
• Provide constructivesuggestions/feedback to your Line... Manager on products, processesand procedures to contribute to our continuous improvementefforts
• Be aware of planned team meetings andlearning sessions and attend asrequired
• Participate positively in pre and postshift briefs and hotel team huddles and apply learning the nextday
• Volunteer to participate in companycampaigns like Travel with Purpose or TMcommittees
• Execute duties as assigned by theFinance Operations Manager and GM

Accounting Specifics
• Carry out all assigned financeprocesses & tasks accurately, timely, reliably and with ahigh level of trustworthiness and integrity
• Ifassigned AP duties, pay all bills promptly after verifying thatthey have all the proper supporting documents. Ensure that thebills are accurate, and that they have been approved by the FinanceOperations Manager / GM
• Assist in processingbilling for hotel guests anddepartments
• Assist. in resolving outstandingbalances
• Assist in receiving and consolidatingall cash and preparing for bankdeposits
• Maintain records of cash receipts andtransactions and prepare General Cashier’sreport
• Help the Finance Operations Mgr. inanalysing departmental costs and control factors to ensure theimplementation of cost-effective measures throughout the wholehotel

• Ability to work well under pressure andeffectively handle multiple concurrent demands and appropriatelyprioritize responsibilities
• Must possess theability to analyse large amounts of data / information efficientlyand accurately
• Ability to learn and perform allessential job functions accurately and safely with minimal directsupervision, within initial training period after employee beginswork
