About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, this role requires a dynamic and experienced Facilities Manager to lead the Facilities team of four, and to maintain the wide range of properties that FlyeFit use, from older buildings to purpose-built locations.

As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the direction and performance of the Facilities Department. The role is multi-faceted; below are some of the areas that you will have responsibility for:

· Managing daily general maintenance across all gyms.

· Managing the daily reactive maintenance logs for our contracted maintenance partner, Interact e.g. electrical, plumbing, fire alarms, fire extinguishers etc.

· Involved in agreeing the maintenance budget & interaction with the Finance Department in managing costs.

· Co-ordinating the yearly preventative planned maintenance across all gyms with Interact and other external companies.

· Responsibility for managing billing with Interact.

· Maintaining the general operations of all gyms to include fire and health & safety protocol and procedures, with regular gym visits to ensure all are fully adhered to.

· Managing our company Facilities Coordinator who carries out gym audits each month on all gyms, and a maintenance team.

· Liaising with builders, fire consultants and fire officers where necessary.

· Dealing with issues with our outsourced cleaning company, AFM, around cleaning shifts, costs, cleaning issues, and ensuring that FlyeFit’s high cleanliness standard is maintained.

· Part of the team responsible for the setup of new gyms.

· Responsibility for ensuring that relevant staff have attended necessary Fire Warden and Manual Handling training.

· Continually improving and driving efficiencies in facilities maintenance.

Your qualifications and experience:
• Diploma / Degree in Facilities Management or relevant qualification preferred but not mandatory, if meet work experience requirements.
• 3 to 5 year’s experience in a similar role and industry is preferable.
• Experience with problem solving, root cause analysis, managing investigations and corrective and preventative actions.
• Proven success in project delivery, demonstrating leadership, problem solving and decision making.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on own initiative and to meet strict deadlines.
• Must be commercially focused and highly organised.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate level MS Office Suite skills are necessary.
• Car owner with a full clean driver’s licence is essential.
