jobs description

The Role

We're on the hunt for a dynamic Site Manager with a knack for orchestrating multiple internal works packages to join our Friary Park residential scheme in Acton.

Picture this: Phase 2 of our development is already buzzing with activity, and we need someone with the expertise of overseeing internal construction packages from start to finish across two blocks, a community kitchen and cycle hub. Collaborating closely with our esteemed Project Manager, Kieran, you'll be the driving force behind our subcontractors and consultants, ensuring they not only meet but exceed our lofty expectations, both in terms of programme and budget.

Now, let's talk perks. Friary Park isn't just any residential project—it's a long-term regeneration development boasting 1200 units and a plethora of top-notch amenities. From a cutting-edge Peloton gym to lush podium gardens, inviting community kitchens, business lounge and concierge. It's a true oasis in the heart of London. And let's not forget... about our office space—it's not your run-of-the-mill portacabin. We've decked it out with plush sofas, a kitchen, and even a dedicated games area for the darts aficionados and pro putters among us.

But wait, there's more! We're not just looking for any Site Manager—we want someone who thrives on building relationships and juggling multiple trades with finesse. You’ll be a stickler for attention to detail and have extensive experience in managing everything 1st fix through to 2nd fix and completion. And knowledge of drylining, MEP, carpentry, firestopping and light safety systems is ideal.

Joining our close-knit site team means stepping into a world of collaboration and continuous learning. We're a diverse group with varying levels of experience, but together, we're an unstoppable force committed to excellence.

So, if you're ready to sink your teeth into a thrilling new challenge and be part of something truly extraordinary, don't hesitate—APPLY NOW!

Mount Anvil

What we do: We’ve worked in partnership for 30 years to create outstanding places in London. We’re growing, with our construction turnover doubling, and with a pipeline of new projects where we’re raring to get started and make a difference.

Why we’re here: We’re here to pursue better, differently.

Better: One of The Sunday Times’ “100 Best Small Companies to Work For” for over a decade, winner of multiple Pride In The Job and WhatHouse awards for our people and the quality of our homes, and proud to have the nation’s best site in our ranks (winning the highest possible marks across the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s five areas – the first site ever to do so in 22 years of the CCS).

Differently: Our culture is unusual. Different means more transparent with information. More direct with feedback that helps us all grow. More rigorous about setting goals, then giving more freedom to go and achieve them. It’s definitely not for everyone. We don’t hire know-it-alls, we hire “learn-it-alls”. As our CEO, Killian, says: “We work hard to find people who thrive on context and responsibility, rather than rules and procedures. We then work like owner managers, not a leader and a load of helpers.”

Benefits:

Private medical insurance for you and your family through Vitality (including discounts on spa breaks, cinema tickets and your food shopping, free Starbucks, 50% off Virgin Active Membership and more).

Income Protection Insurance to help you cope financially if you’re unable to work due to illness or injury, Life Assurance equivalent to four times your salary, your annual leave & Bank Holidays and enhanced maternity and paternity leave.

We think the best benefit of being here is the learning culture and the ability to make a real difference – we dislike hierarchy and politics, and “not my job” isn’t in our vernacular. Which means if you really care about raising the bar and really want to feel connected to the end product, as opposed to like a cog in a big machine, this could be the place for you to grow your career
