We are seeking to recruit a School Administrator will support the Senior Administrator in the day to day running of the school office and will offer administrative and event support to the Admissions Department. They will be a valued and integral part of the front of house team.Please note, the position is from 9.00 till 3.30, term time only. The salary will be pro-rated.Your duties will include but are not limited to:
• Assisting the Senior Administrator with the day to day running of the school office, this will include:
• Answering telephone calls and emails courteously, with friendliness and sensitivity, using initiative as required and forwarding detailed messages as appropriate
• Welcoming parents and visitors to the school, signing visitors and pupils in and out of the school and issuing visitor passes as necessary
• Assisting with passing urgent messages to teaching staff
• Completion of the afternoon registers, following up any unexplained absences
• Assisting with general... office tasks including collation of termly data and sharing with relevant departments, preparing documentation, filing and photocopying as required, providing general administrative support to the Senior Administrator as and when required
• Support the Assistant Heads with whole school activities and related administration
• To support the wider School Community with administrative tasks and weekly communications to parents
• Assisting parents with locating lost property and returning items to pupils
• Ensuring that the Reception area and School Office are kept tidy and a welcoming space is maintained
• To sort and distribute the incoming post and deliveries and process outgoing post

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE•Experience of working within a busy varied office environment, preferably a school environment•Strong organisational and planning skills•Knowledge of various IT systems and software packages, including Microsoft Office and the School’s management software - iSAMS•Have strong IT skills with an ability to learn new systemsSKILLS, ABILITIES AND ATTRIBUTES•A warm and approachable demeanour with the ability to form working relationships with pupils, parents and staff alike•Positive, can do attitude, with a good sense of humour and a desire to help others•Ability to work well in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, remaining calm and being able to problem solve using your own initiative•Be able to think strategically and respond to a variety of issues•Ability to work to deadlines

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £28,285.00 per year

Expected hours: 32.5 per week
