About the role

This role is open to individuals based near our Queens Drive Support Centre in Lower Hutt or our Landing Drive Support Centre in Auckland, but proximity is not critical.

We are currently recruiting for a new Retail Systems Consultant, which is a key role responsible for a portfolio of retail business... applications. In this role you will be part of the Foodstuffs Customer Product IT team, being involved in the complete life cycle of key products that shape how our customers in the North Island shop.

More specifically, the role is responsible for:
• Providing expert support on our products combining knowledge of Foodstuffs North Island that the product supports, along with a detailed understanding of how the product is configured and implemented.
• Working with the Strategy and Architecture and Operations divisions to ensure products adhere to approved standards and provide clear roadmaps.
• Product life cycle from birth of service, continuous improvements for business benefits, while reducing costs, to the decommissioning of a service
• Showing versatility across functional areas, such as testing, scripting, consulting, and development.
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders and vendors.
• Ensuring consistent implementation and management of UI processes and proactively identifying and troubleshooting UI issues.
• Collaborating with UX design and development teams to resolve problems effectively.

About you

With a passion for technology and ambition to work on retail customer products that really make a difference, the suitable applicant for this role will:
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask and work through issues in a fast paced, complex, operational environment.
• Have experience in working in and supporting enterprise scale “Agile” environments.
• Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of Cloud Technology
• Have a strong track record supporting complex cloud and datacentre-based solutions, including systems as Point of Sale, Loyalty Management Systems, Mobile Shopping, Inter-scales, electronic shelf labels, Eftpos and back-office store systems (SAP).
• Be naturally curious with a passion for continuous learning and exploring possibilities.
• Be capable of delivering services in a 24/7/365 environment.
• Have a collaborative yet independent working style and be flexible and proactive in responding to challenges and requests.
• Be proficient in API testing tools and methodologies.

It would also be beneficial if you have experience supporting analysis for Functional, Non-functional, and User Acceptance testing, with an advantage in understanding both manual and automated testing processes along with:
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Experience in creating rapid prototypes.
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, InVision, and Sketch.
• Working knowledge of ideation and creation processes for UI design deliverables, including Sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, and both lo-fi and hi-fi prototypes.
