At Seat's department, we aim to deliver a premium experience for Volvo Cars customers through our luxurious, comfortable, and safe seats. Our diverse team of around 100 individuals in Gothenburg and Shanghai collaborates closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure quality and timely delivery. How will you contribute

The Department Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing program execution across all phases from engineering to launch. This involves reporting to department management to ensure alignment between strategy and... execution, as well as leading a cross-functional team and managing communication with stakeholders and attributes.

Tasks include:

- Planning, organizing, and coordinating all activities in line with the business strategy.

- Driving efforts to establish an efficient workflow, including validation plans and readiness criteria, involving various departments such as engineering, manufacturing, procurement, pilot plant, test departments, suppliers, supply chains, and quality.

- Participating in and leading cross-functional projects and readiness forums, providing clear updates on project status, summaries, and recovery plans at both working and executive levels.

- Managing project time and costs effectively.

Your Qualifications

- Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

- Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive interior, with at least 5 years in program management focused on seats (preferably at OEM or seat supplier)

- Experience overseeing at least one seat project launch at either a supplier or OEM

- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills

- Understanding of the manufacturing validation process for complex new products, including methodology, validation plans, and relevant KPIsStrong grasp of design for manufacture, process design, process validation, and assembly methods

- Possession of a "B" driving license is advantageous.
