The Opportunity:
Avantor is in search of a dedicated and seasoned Supervisor for Manufacturing Operations. This role entails overseeing and coordinating daily activities within the Service and Manufacturing Supervisor Department, ensuring tasks are carried out according to established priorities and procedures. The chosen candidate will provide leadership, guidance, adherence to corporate and local regulations, and be responsible for departmental budget management. The incumbent should possess problem-solving skills, innovation, and creativity to tackle complex issues effectively.
• Maintain cost-effective manufacturing processes to meet or exceed customer expectations and financial objectives.
• Assist the General Manager in sales strategies development and interactions with sales representatives.
• Supervise the daily planning, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing activities within a specific area.
• Ensure efficient use of materials, equipment, and personnel to produce... high-quality products at minimal costs.
• Select, develop, and assess personnel for optimal departmental operations.

What we're looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Management preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in manufacturing planning and quality, preferably.
• 1 year of management or leadership experience.
• Experience in Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001:2015 standards, and Project Management certification preferred.
• Experience in cGMP manufacturing is a plus.

• Familiarity with Chemical and/or Aseptic production processes and applications within a similar industry is preferred.
• Highly organized and self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to assess product and process risks and develop corrective measures.
• Proficient in managing multiple tasks and priorities, adaptable to changing situations.
• Computer literate for scheduling, procedure revisions, and data management.
• Proven track record in cost reduction through process enhancements and efficiencies.

• Supervise activities of other departments such as production, maintenance, and shipping.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to meet sales orders, inventory requirements, and manufacturing procedures.
• Ensure site security, safety, and proper shutdown procedures are followed.
• Monitor and enhance the efficiency, output, and safety of manufacturing processes.
• Implement and maintain manufacturing safety policies and procedures.
• Analyze and design lean manufacturing cells for optimal space, equipment, and personnel utilization.
• Train, motivate, and evaluate performance of manufacturing employees.
• Develop cross-training initiatives for flexible resources and increased capacities.
• Participate in process validations, audits, and other relevant activities.
