THE OPPORTUNITY

As the District Sales Manager for Western Denmark, you will be responsible for building, leading, performance-managing, and coaching Territory Managers & Territory Manager Specialists to drive commercial success and exceptional customer engagement.

Furthermore, you will ensure (multi-channel) interactions with customers to support appropriate use of our products, including adherence to local regulatory/pharma code regulations. You will strive to cultivate strategic partnerships with customers/accounts and ensure cross functional support for the team to develop business plans and execute customer/account plans.

This position involves... travelling within Western Denmark and reports directly to the Head of Sales Denmark. This is a field-based role with 7 direct reports, requiring frequent travelling within Denmark (minimum 60% of your work time).

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, implement, and follow up of customer engagement plans, using all available channels.
• Develop positive and mutually beneficial relationships with key customers/accounts and seek feedback.
• Develop, enhance, and increase district performance of Boehringer Ingelheim’s portfolio to meet or exceed annual sales and KPI results & monitors allocated operating budgets.
• Coach team with a focus on driving customer engagement by providing on-going feedback, role-modeling effective influencing skills, and leveraging technologies and tools.
• Ensure an inclusive and open communication team environment and support individual development with trust.
• Collaborate effectively with different internal stakeholders (Brand Teams, Head of Sales, Customer Excellence, Market Access, Medical, HR, Finance) on strategy execution and insights gathering to ensure alignment on organization priorities and to deliver net sales objectives.
• Apply long-term strategic thinking to anticipate patient and customer needs & potential changes based on evolving environment, to inform the strategic business plans aligned to the Integrated Brand Plan/Integrated Customer Plan.
• Actively look for business opportunities & analyze available data and profile customers.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
• At least 5 years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutics, Medicine or Business Administration.
• Preferably some leadership experience in sales.
• Excellent command of the Danish & English languages.
• Solid medical/scientific understanding.
• Strong strategic financial acumen.
• Understanding of main business processes and platforms (including omnichannel).
• Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
• Excellent communication, change-management & analytical skills.
• Ability to train & coach people.
• Ability to influence a wide range of (internal and external) stakeholders.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Digital savvy – with knowledge of MS Office package and database applications.
• Lastly, you are resilient, accountable, visionary, and eager to achieve results.
• Valid driver's license.
